On July 5, 2010 President Nursultan Nazarbayev will open Central Asia's largest shopping and entertainment center “Khan Shatyr”, one of the most ambitious yet difficult from the engineering point of view of architectural projects in the world. This is a giant 95 meter high tent made of a unique transparent polymer material - ETFE, first applied in such a significant amount at the creation of architectural facility.

150 citizens of Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan became the new settlers. On June 29, 2010 the warrants and keys of new apartments from Public housing fund were presented to them by the Mayor of districts, Sapar Akhmetov “Almaty”, Kairat Zhanabergenov “Yesil”, Sabila Mustafina “Saryarka”. Among the recipient citizens who avail themselves of their right to improve housing conditions provided by the Law of the RK “About housing relations” and registered in the Office of Housing from 1986 to 2000.

On June 27, 2010 guests of the “ASTANA”  International film festival will visit a resort area Borovoe, where the stars will spend one day in a makeshift Kazakh aul (village), see theatrical performance about the life of nomads and get acquainted with music, traditions and festive rites of the Kazakhs as well as taste Kazakh traditional food.

On June 17, 2010 Astana’s Mayor Imangali Tasmagambetov congratulated the medical body of the capital on their professional day and set the tasks to solve immediately while ceremonial meeting devoted to Medical Service Worker Day.

On June 7, 2010 the 1st International Investment Forum “ASTANA INVEST 2010” is held in the Palace of Independence of Astana city.
